The Illinois Accountability Commission (IAC) was established by Executive Order 202506 to create a public record of the conduct of federal agents during “Operation Midway Blitz” and other federal operations in Illinois. The Commission also examines the impact of these actions on individuals and communities and develops recommendations to prevent future harm.

As part of its mandate, the Commission gathers publicly available videos documenting federal officers’ actions, collects additional information and documentation (including testimony), holds public hearings, analyzes conduct to identify instances requiring urgent corrective action, and makes law or policy recommendations to protect the rights and safety of Illinois residents.

This event on April 27th will be one of two public hearings this month to reveal results from the Commission's ongoing investigations surrounding the actions of federal agents during Operation Midway Blitz. The hearings will feature new, never-before-seen video footage and witness testimony from specific incidents targeting Illinoisians. Participants who wish to offer public comment (see below) should be prepared to attend in person.

The main program will run from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, with public comment from approximately 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
